Exciting Leagues for Boys and Girls, 1st thru 6th Grades
Now in our 12th season, Upward Basketball at Oak Park continues to promote character and self-esteem in every child by providing a substitution system that promotes equal playing time for each player and an evaluation process to help provide equal teams and equal opportunity for improvement.
When you play Upward Basketball, you and your friends:
- Sign up individually, not as a team
- Practice and play a game once each week
- Play at least half the game every game
- Learn new drills to improve your basketball skills
- Receive special recognition awards every game
You get cool basketball gear:
- Upward Basketball t-shirt
- Upward Basketball jersey and shorts
- Upward Basketball car magnet
- End of season award

Registration Information
Online Registration for 2011-2012 will be available in early August 2011.
We provide two ways to register: online or if you do NOT have online access, you may contact the church office Monday thru Friday between the hours of 9 am to 4 pm to obtain a registration form (paper registration forms will be available in early September). Please use the online registration process if at all possible.
NOTE: fees are the same as the last two years.
- The early registration cost per child for basketball is $150
- After September 19, the cost is $170
- After October 3, the cost is $190
If paying by check, please make checks payable to Oak Park Christian Center.
Evaluations and Sign-Ups:
Everyone must attend one basketball evaluation as follows. Held in the Oak Park Christian Center gym.
1st and 2nd Grade Boys and Girls
- Saturday, October 8, 2011 between 9:00am – 10:30am
3rd and 4th Grade Boys and Girls
- Saturday, October 8, between 10:30am – 12:00pm
5th and 6th Grade Boys and Girls
- Saturday, October 8, between 12:00pm – 1:30 pm
1st through 6th Grade Boys and Girls (Same Day Make-Up)
- Saturday, October 8, between 1:30pm – 2:30pm
League Schedule
Practices Begin – Monday, November 28, 2011
First Game – Saturday, January 7, 2012
Awards Celebration – Sunday, March 11, 2012
